The Thompson Family

Join us this year as we support The Thompson Family. Cole Thompson suffered a STEMI (more commonly referred to as a Widow Maker heart attack) on June 4, 2025. He succumbed to his injury on June 18, 2025 - leaving behind his wife, Niki, and their young children, Tagg (6) and Troop (5). Cole was a lifelong resident of Aledo. He was a productive, supportive, and generous member of our community. His impact will be greatly missed! The family faces a journey full of change and unknowns without their sole provider. The funds will be used to cover medical costs of Cole’s care not covered by their insurance, as well as, future needs of their children such as medical, educational, and daily living expenses. Also, it is Niki’s hope to pay funds forward to worthy causes that benefit the greater good in Cole’s memory. Niki says she is so thankful and humbled to be the recipient this year. After being on the Trot committee from day one, she has witnessed lives changed through the generosity of our community and she is overwhelmed with gratitude to be one of them!
